William Mark Miles

Mark Miles, 67, of Herod, IL passed away August 17, 2024 at Hardin County General Hospital.Mark was a "Mountain Man". He was a great craftsman, from woodworking to smoking his BBQ.His hobbies included knife making, small engine repair, and building the most beautiful furniture out of wood. His passions were hunting and fishing. Mark spent most of his life working in Harrisburg at Up-Town Market. From there he moved to Missouri where he became a powder man for a huge lime quarry. Mark returned "home" in 2017 where he retired from Big Johns in Eldorado IL. Mark will be greatly missed by his family and friends.Survivors include his children, Angela Miles of Windsor, MO and Jeremiah Miles of Odessa, MO; grandchildren, Ky Mann, Adam Miles, Easton West, Izzy Miles and Evie Miles; great grandson, Aydan Butts; mother, Mary Miles; sisters, Merry and Susie; brother, Mike and other family members.He was preceded in death by his father, George Miles; daughter, Amy Mann and brother, Jimmy.Private services will be held at a later date.Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare, IL is in charge of arrangements.
