Vera was known for her joyful heart and caring nature. She was a fulltime homemaker her entire marriage. She found great pleasure in putting other first. Vera could always talk about her family, anytime, and anywhere. She never knew a stranger.
Although Vera lived a frugal life and really did not concern herself with material things, she loved her lipstick and “Beautiful” perfume, a gift her daughter always made sure she had.
She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed sharing her talent with others. Receiving a pie or cake baked by Vera was a real treat.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. As per family wishes, Mrs. Shockley will be cremated. A celebration of Vera’s life will be held at a later date with family and friends.
