Ms. Velda B. Holbrook

Velda B. Holbrook, 78, of Elizabethtown, IL. Passed away on Friday February 15, 2012 at 4:30 P.M. at the Hardin County General Hospital. She was born in Hardin County on March 19, 1934 to Ben Tadlock and Thelma (Jennings) Tadlock. On January 12, 1951 she married the love of her life, Herbart Holbrook, he passed away on December 8, 1980. She was a ward clerk at Hardin County General Hospital.
She is survived by a Son: James & Randi Holbrook of Elizabethtown, IL.; Dau: Sandy & Tom Barnerd of Elizabethtown, IL.; Mother: Thelma Tadlock of Anna, IL.; Bro: Jim Tadlock of Anna, IL.; 5 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grand Children; Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her husband: Herbart Holbrook; Special Friend: Bob Wallace; Daughter: Debbie Holbrook; Grandson: Heath Barnerd; and her father.

Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. As per her wishes, Ms. Holbrook has been cremated. The family will have a graveside committal service Saturday February 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Cave Hill Cemetery in Cave In Rock, IL. Rev. Fred Birch will officiate the services.
