Susan Kay Barfield, 69, of Marion, KY passed away at her home on October 2, 2022 surrounded by family and close friends.
Susan was the daughter of James and Ruby Barfield of the Chapel Hill Community in Crayne, KY. She was a graduate of Crittenden County High School and Draughn's Business College in Paducah, KY. Susan worked for Guggenheim Insurance for several years and was a long time employee of Crittenden Community Hospital where she worked in the records and admissions departments.
Susan is survived by her first cousins, Jimmie Bigham of Marion, KY and Morris Yates of Madisonville, KY; cousin-in-law, Gail Bigham; second cousins, Dedra Clark of Marion, KY, Chris Bigham of Dawson Springs, KY and Holly Campbell of Kuttawa, KY and special friends, Paula Porter, Mary Millikan, Shirley Jent and Tommy and Brenda Overfield.
As anyone who knew Susan knows, she was an avid cat lover. She will deeply missed by her furry friends.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY is in charge of arrangements.
