Steven A. Newcom

Steven A. Newcom, 62, formerly of Chandler, Indiana died July 4, 2014 at Gentiva Inpatient Unit in Ft. Worth, Texas. He loved and played music with several bands around the community. Steven had retired from Standard Laboratories in Evansville, IN.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Virginia McCabe; stepfather, Denver McCabe; father, Elmer Newcom and brother, Den McCabe.

He is survived by two brothers, Michael (Susan) Newcom of Ft. Worth, TX and Kenneth McCabe of Ellington, MO; 5 sisters, Judith (Harry) Wilder of Chandler, IN, Linda (Randy) Clary of Henderson, KY, Wanda Boarman, Sue Allen and Onita (Larry) Fitzgerald all of Evansville, IN and several nieces and nephews.

Services are scheduled for 1 PM Wednesday July 9, 2014 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Repton Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
