Shelba Franklin

October 28, 1936 — March 2, 2011

Shelba Jean Franklin, 74, of Alton, IL formerly of Hardin County, IL died Wednesday at her home in Alton, IL. She was a member of Heartland Baptist Church in Alton, IL.
Surviving are her sisters, Monav Donithan of Eldorado, IL; Ethna (Bill) Joyce of Alton, IL and Margaret (Ross) Barber of San Jose, CA; brothers, Garcia (Thelma) Patton of Xenia, OH, Cecil (Van) Patton of Cave-In-Rock, IL, Billy (Sandy) Patton of Benton, KY and Donnie (Alaunda) Patton of Brighton, MI; sister-in-law, Mildred Patton of Harrisburg, IL; brother-in-law, Robert Schutt of Carlsbad, NM; nine nephews and seven nieces; many friends, family and very special and beloved dog named Jazzy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin; brother, Everett Patton and sister, Corena Schutt.
Services are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday at Potters Church in Cave-In-Rock, IL with interment in Central Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-9 PM Friday at the church. Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-in-Rock, is in charge of arrangements.
