Ronald G. “Ronnie” Myers, 67, of Marion, KY passed away Saturday , October 31, 2020 at Crittenden Community Hospital. He was born on March 7, 1953 to the late Louis & Verna Myers. Ronnie was the owner of the NAPA Auto Parts in Marion, served in the US Army National Guard, was a life-long Crittenden County Rocket sports booster and Rocket Football fan. He took on several responsibilities with the Rocket Football team, including being the videographer and assisting in transporting the team’s equipment to the away games. Ronnie grew to love each player like family and never missed a game. He loved spending any free time he had golfing and bowling with friends and family. He was a friend to whomever he met and never met a stranger. Ronnie was commonly known around town as “Parts Ron”. Ronnie was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Gayle, for over 47 years. He was a loving father to his 3 children and a grandfather to his 10 grandchildren. Ronnie loved nothing more than his family.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle; two sons, Darrick (Jennifer) Myers, Kyle (Ashley) Myers, both of Marion, KY; one daughter, Ashley (Vince) Mitchell of Paducah, KY; 10 grandchildren, Hadley Myers, Emma, Lily and Noah Atchison, Adison and Kash Myers and Carson Brown and Mccoy, Tucker and Mallie Mitchell; brother, Eddie (Paulette) Myers and sister, Carolyn Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Verna Myers; his stepfather, Dolphy Hodges; 2 brothers, Tony and Jerry (Tubbo) Myers.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Tuesday November 3, 2020 at the Crittenden County High School football field in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY.
Masks and social distancing are mandatory at the funeral on Tuesday as well as the visitation at the funeral home.
