Mr. Roger Allen Young

Roger Allen Young, 86, of Rosiclare, IL. Passed away on Wednesday October 16, 2013 at 6:44 P.M. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky. He was born in Springfield, IL. On November 6, 1926 to Charles Clayton Young and Ida Belle (Hodge) Young. He was a Navy Veteran and retired from the Illinois State Police after serving for 31 years.
He is survived by his wife: Dorothy (Henson) Young; Dau: Kim Mott; Son Kenneth Allen Young; and 2 Grandchildren;
He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Ida Belle Young; Bro: Douglas Deon Young; Sisters: Margie Furguson and Lee Wittenbrink.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday October 19, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Sunday October 20, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Rev. Roy Baker will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at Dixon-Volkert Cemetery.
