Robert Wayne Moore, 62, passed away on March 7, 2017 in Carrier Mills, Il. He was born June 21, 1954 in Hammond, Indiana to Eugene Moore and Betty (Damron) Moore.
Bob enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on June 25, 1974 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was a 1973 graduate of Hammond Tech High school. He worked for Many years as a QMA at Richmond State Hospital and later at Walmart in Harrisburg assembling bicycles, displays and furniture. This lead to his nickname “Bob the Builder”. Bob was a great artist and loved working with his hands, either drawing, painting, creating crafts or doing household repairs.
On August 22, 1990, he was united in marriage to Laura Heitzman.
He is survived by his wife: Laura Moore; Mother: Betty Todd; Sons; Nathan (Rachel) Moore, Brandon (Amanda) Moore; Eddie Barnes and a Daughter: Stefanee Moore; Brothers: Michael (Sandie) Moore; David (Kathleen) Moore; Richard(LeeAnn) Moore; Sisters: Susan (Doug) Cook; Patricia (Abdul) Tidwell; Tracey (David) Brasel and Sheri(Bert) Todd; 8 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren and many Nieces, Nephews, and a whole world of friends.
Hardin County Funeral Service, Cox Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. Services will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Cox funeral Home with service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at funeral home. Officiating Service will be Rev. Roy Baker. Burial will follow at Flourine Cemetery with Military Rites performed by American Legion Post # 571.
