Robert E. Hill

Robert E Hill, 78, of Marion, KY, passed away on December 25, 2017 at home. He was a member and elder at Piney Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA.




Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Hill of Marion, KY; Children, Eric (Dina) Hill of Marion, KY, Christa (Bruce) Gibson of Robards, KY, and Joshua Hill of Marion, KY.




Grandchildren are Shane Hill, Jacob Hill, Mason Gibson, Lance Gibson, Ashton Hill, Heath Hill, Kolby Gibson, Brendan Hill, and Keira Hill.

Great-grandchildren are Sadie and Liam Hill.

Surviving sisters are Betty Mayes Petty of Cunningham, KY, and Jeannie (Dale) Cunningham of Gosport, IN.




He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Mayme Hill, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.




Services are scheduled for 2 pm, Friday, December 29, 2017, at Piney Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marion, KY, with interment at Piney Fork Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 10-11 am, with public visitation from 11 am until service time at Piney Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
