Richard "Mug" Lampert, 82, of Elizabethtown, IL died Thursday at Hardin County Hospital in Rosiclare, IL.
Richard was born in Cave-In-Rock, IL on October 22, 1930 to the late Edward and Vada Suits Lampert.
He married Marguerite Shore on December 12, 1947. He was a retired fluorspar miner, having worked many years at the Minerva Mine #1 in Cave-In-Rock, IL.
Survivors include his wife Marguerite of Elizabethtown, IL; daughters, Willa Oveta Lampert of Elizabethtown, IL and Loretta Shetler of Paducah, KY; son, Wilburn Deneen (Barbara) Lampert of Elizabethtown, IL; grandchildren, Sherri (Jody) Goins of Paducah, KY, Joey (Erin) Shetler of St. Charles, MO, Michelle (Jared) Maslin of St. Peters, MO and Lori Lampert of Franklin, IN; great grandchildren, Justin and Jessa Goins of Paducah, KY and Amy Shetler of St. Charles, MO; sister, Thetna (Bob) Hughes of Cave-In-Rock, IL and brother, Ivan (Stella) Lampert of Harrisburg, IL.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward and Vada Lampert; brothers, Wilford Lee and William "Dude" Lampert; sister, Wanda Grace and son-in-law, David Shetler.
Services are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-in-Rock, IL with the Rev. Stan Pennell officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Saturday.
