Rev. Thomas Brodie Ambrose

Rev. Thomas Brodie Ambrose, 81, died July 15, 2019 at Crittenden Community Hospital. Rev. Ambrose was born September 25, 1937 to the late Smith W. and Mary Christine Ambrose. He was a graduate of Campbellsville College and attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He was ordained as a Southern Baptist Minister on September 4, 1960 and served as pastor to several churches in Western Kentucky and preached for over 50 years. Rev. Ambrose was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marion, KY.


Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Betty Marsh Ambrose of Marion, KY.; daughters, Martha (Stephen) Hill of Marion, KY. and Marsha (Dwain) Hayes of Greenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Elise Gilkey, Ethan (Jessie) Hill and Noah Hayes and great grandchildren, Morgan Gilkey, Easley Gilkey and Jaxton Hill.


Services are scheduled for 11 AM Friday July 19, 2019 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY. with interment in Sugar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
