Mr. Parke Kramer Butts

Mr. Parke Kramer Butts, 89, of Summer Shade, Ky., died June 5, 2015 at NHC in Glasgow, Ky. He was born on July 19, 1925 in Caseyville, Ky., to the late Michael VanBuren and Anna Mabel Kramer Butts. He was a United States Marine Veteran of WW2 and was Baptist by faith.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Glenda Butts and Thomas Horner of Glasgow, Ky.; Mary Helen and Larry Devore of Edmonton, Ky., and Elizabeth and Richard Barrett of Edmonton, Ky. Three sons: Warren P. Butts of California, David and Cindy Butts of Indianapolis, and Jimmy and Vicki Worthey Butts of Union Co. Ky. Also surviving is one brother: Homer Kenneth and Mandy Lou Butts of Union Co. Ky., and 6 grand children.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Galena McDowell Butts, his parents, and one daughter: Nora Ellen Butts, 3 brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation will be Saturday June 6, 2015 beginning at 4:00 P.M. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home in Summer Shade, Ky.
Visitation will continue at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave In Rock, IL. on Sunday June 7, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. and on Monday June 8, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. Funeral services will be Monday June 8, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. American Legion Post 571 will conduct Military Honors.
