Mrs. Mona Marie Scantling

Mona Marie Scantling, 73, of Elizabethtown, IL., passed away on Monday October 23, 2017 at Hardin County General Hospital. She was born on December 20, 1943 in Elizabethtown, to Olen Suits and Katherine (Hill) Suits. She was retired from IDNR, a member of the Rosiclare Apostolic Church, and a board member for the Hardin County Golden Circle.
She is survived by her Husband: James “Jim” Scantling; Son: Michael Scantling; Son: Kurt Scantling; Grandchildren: Ben Scantling, Carson Scantling, and Luke Scantling; Brother: William France Suits; Brother: J.D. Suits; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Parents: Olen and Katherine Suits; Son: Scott Scantling
Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 27, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 A.M. till funeral time. Rev. Lowell Butch Gowins will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery.
