Ms. Mildred Jean Patton

Mildred Jean Patton, 89, passed away at noon on Friday December 27, 2013 at the Rosiclare Rehabilitation Center in Rosiclare. She was born on October 26, 1924 to John W. Daymon and Nellie Jane ( Leeper ) Daymon in Hardin County. She married Everett T. Patton on December 4, 1948. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1967.
She is survived by her children, Son: David and Susan Patton of Bloomington, IL.; Son: Doug and Candy Patton of Elizabethtown, IL.; Dau: Deborah Scott of Wimauma, FL.; Grandson: Samuel and Kara Patton of Millersville, MD.; Grandson: Justin and Tracy Patton of Murfreesboro, TN.; Granddaughter: Melissa and Chris Page of Nashville, TN.; Granddaughter: Audra and Ryan Utterback of Clinton, IL.; 6 Great Grandchildren: Benjamin Patton, Jacob Patton, Presley Page, Georgia Page, Griffin Utterback, and Dylan Utterback.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Everett Patton; Sister: Mary Hurford; Sister: Esther Hurford; Brother: Arthur Daymon.
Mildred farmed and raised cattle with her husband. She also worked at the glove factory in Harrisburg, IL. And at the Eldorado hospital as a nurse’s aide. She also did some home health care assistance while she lived in Eldorado. She loved to garden, raise flowers, and sew. She was a great seamstress. She loved her family. She has gone home to be with the angels and her loving family members that preceded her. She will be in our hearts forever.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of services. Visitation will be Tuesday December 31, 2013 from 11:00 A. M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Tuesday December 31, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Bro. Harold Miller will officiate the services. Burial will be at Central Cemetery.
For those who wish, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
