Michael Dean Ferrell, age 61, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away peacefully from this earthly world into his Heavenly Home on June 6, 2024, with his loving family by his side.
Michael Dean was born on December 15, 1962, in Rosiclare, Illinois, the first born child to J. Michael Ferrell and W. Dean (Winters) Ferrell. He spent his early childhood in Illinois and Kentucky. At age 13 his family moved to Roswell, Georgia. He grew up there attending Roswell High School, DeKalb College, and graduating from the Art Institute of Atlanta with high honors. He was a talented artist and model railroad enthusiast, spending his idle hours working on his model railroad village.
He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, Mike and Dean Ferrell, Hoschton, GA; sister, Tina (Tom) Harbin, Flowery Branch, GA; brother, Scott (Lauren) Ferrell, Canton, GA; grandmother, Hazel Winters, Rosiclare, Illinois; three nieces, five nephews, one great-nephew and one great-niece; many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Illinois and Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd Theodore Winters and James H. and Iva G. Ferrell.
Michael Dean loved God and never missed Home Church with Free Chapel in Gainesville, GA. He loved his family and was the happiest when he was surrounded by those he loved and those who loved him. He was prepared to make his home with God and was happy talking about seeing his PaPaw Winters and his Grandma and Grandpa Ferrell in Heaven.
