Mary Pennell, 83, passed away Saturday December 30, 2017 at Rosiclare Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by family. She was born on October 12, 1934 to the late Eschol and Jewel (Boyd) Holbrook. She drove a school bus for 38 years until her health failed. Her bus children admired her. She lived for grandchildren, they were the love of her life.
She is survived by her husband: Glenn Pennell; daughter: Tina and David Orman; son: James and Sandy Pennell; Grandsons: Jared and Jennifer Pennell, Matthew and Melissa Pennell, and Michael Orman; Two great grand children: Ava and Max Pennell; Sister: Betty and Lowell Porter; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Eschol and Jewel Holbrook; Infant son: Mose Pennell; Brothers: Orval, Herb, and Randall; Sister: Helen.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Rose Gilbert Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 3, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 4, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Rev. Deon Dutton will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
