Marion Keith Atkinson

Marion “Adrian” Keith Atkinson born June 12, 1955, to Ludean and Wayne Atkinson in Rosiclare, IL passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024, at the Linda E. White House of Hospice in Evansville, Indiana. By his side was his son Brian, and Keith’s girlfriend Ruth Boyd. Keith was one of eight children. 

In April 1975 Keith married the love of his life Thelma Underdown. They were joined in marriage up until the time of Thelma’s passing. During their time together they had 2 sons, Brian and Michael “Monke” Atkinson. 

Keith was an avid sports man; he loved to hunt and fish. He also loved to take gravel cruise in the side by side. Keith was a big gear head he loved his toys, especially fast cars. He had passed that love on to his sons. Keith most of all loved being a papaw to his precious grandchildren which consist of Alaina, Michaela, Ashlynn, and Gage Atkinson. 

Keith during his time on Earth worked at Bumper-to-Bumper Auto Parts, Prince Minerals, and Elizabethtown Fire Chief for 14 years.

Keith is survived by his son, Brian (Kimberly) Atkinson, grandchildren, Alaina, Michaela, Ashlynn, and Gage Atkinson, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews and girlfriend Ruth Boyd.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Wayne and Ludean Atkinson, wife, Thelma Atkinson, son, Michael "Monke" Atkinson and 2 brothers, Leonard and Robert Atkinson.

Sevices will be held on Sunday August 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of service at funeral home. Officiating the service will be Stan Pennell. Burial to follow at Empire Cemetery in Elizabethtown,  Il.
