Marilyn Joy Knight

Marilyn Joy Knight, 82, of Energy, IL, formerly of Marion, KY, died January 13, 2022 at her home in Energy. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Herrin, IL.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Lonnie Lewis Knight; sons, Randy (Vicki) Knight of Energy, IL and Andy (Irene) Knight of Johnston City, IL; brothers, Larry and Ricky Lindsey; grandchildren, Dustin (Hailey) Knight of Benton, IL, Nathan (Allison) Knight of Forney, TX and Sarah (Justin) Lowther of Carterville, IL; great grandchildren, Maddi Griffin, Brayden and Tylin Knight and Mason and Maverick Lowther; sister-in-law, Inez Linzy and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warner and Hazel Lindsey and brother, Johnny Lindsey.
Joy was a devoted wife, mother and Nana and loved her family and enjoyed camping and fishing.
Services are scheduled for 11 AM Thursday January 20, 2022 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Dycusburg Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Wednesday January 19, 2022 at the funeral home.
