Marilyn Kay Belt

Marilyn Kay Belt, 67, of Marion, KY passed away at her home on Friday, August 23, 2024. She had a lifelong passion for helping others, this showed through her work as a social worker serving for the state cabinet for Families and Children Services, as well as Baptist Heath Paducah, before ending her career as the office manager for Glenns Apothecary. Outside of work she was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she served as the WMU director, VBS director, Shine Event Coordinator, as well as being responsible for bringing Celebrate Recovery to Crittenden County in 1999. Marilyn was a devoted Christian, mother, wife, sister, daughter and a friend to all who met her.

Survivors include her husband; Eddie Belt, children; Eddie Lee Belt, Adena (Dennis) Lewis, Tashena (Shane) Hill, grandchildren; Lilly Lewis, Kobe Lewis, Ellee Belt, Sadie Hill, Liam Hill, and Eli Belt, brother; Allan Hunt.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Harold R. and Bessie Lee Hunt.

Funeral Services will be held 11am Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial following at Mapleview Cemetery in Marion, KY. The family will receive visitors from 5pm until 8pm Monday August 26, 2024 at the funeral home.
