Lonnie Darrell Linzy

Lonnie Darrell Linzy, 70, of Marion, KY left us to go to his Heavenly Home on May 30, 2023 at Crittenden Health Systems.
In his younger days, he enjoyed riding horses. He loved music and sung every song with his own passionate twist. He was a unique, one of a kind character. He never met a stranger. He was loud, goofy and could make anyone laugh. His role as a Dad was his greatest of all. He taught them to love the Lord and to put Him first. He loved the Lord. ....
He was a member of Crayne Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Linzy of Marion, KY; daughters, Tracy Linzy of Paducah, KY, Dana (Zach) Johnson of Louisville, KY and Dara (Chad) Lanham of Mulfordtown, KY; son, Brad (Kathy) Linzy of Louisville, KY; step daughter, Renee' Fernette of Grand Rivers, KY; step sons, Jason (Gina) Robinson of Dalton, KY and Travis Robinson of Fredonia, KY; 8 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Larry) Haire of Mattoon, KY; Phyllis (Tony) O'Neal of Marion, KY, Rita (Mike) Templeton of Marion, KY and Deitra (Kurt) Beavers of Marion, KY; brother, Danny (Debbie) Linzy of Carmi, IL and sister-in-law, Vicki Linzy of Henderson, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lafe and Inez Linzy and brother, Marlon Linzy.
Services are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday June 4, 2023 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Dycusburg Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.
