Loeva Vaughn

Loeva Vaughn,80, of Herod, IL died Tuesday at Hardin County Hospital in Rosiclare, IL. She was born to Raleigh and Alpha Cox on March 3, 1931 in Hicks Branch, near Herod, IL. and enjoyed cooking and spending time talking with friends and family. Loeva was employed at the General Assistance Office in Elizabethtown, IL for 14 years. On May 29, 1948 Loeva married Elbert Vaughn and from this union a son, Gary, was born.
Surviving is her son Gary Vaughn of Harrisburg, IL; grandsons, Ryan (Natalie) Vaughn of Elizabethtown, IL and Brandon (Aleshia) Vaughn of Rosiclare, IL; greatgrandchildren, Raegan Vaughn of Elizabethtown, IL and Kingston Vaughn of Rosiclare, IL; sister Dorothy (Gaylon) Hoke of Herod, IL; brother-in-laws, Don (Stephanie) Vaughn of Herod, IL and Wendell (Laura) Vaughn of Harrisburg, IL; sister-in-laws, Eula Mae Frailey of Cave-In-Rock, IL, Wilma Jean Grant of Peoria, IL and Mary Lou Cox of Chicago, IL and a host of neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raleigh and Alpha Cox; husband, Elbert Vaughn and three brothers, Lloyd, Lester and Lindell Cox.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Friday at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare, IL with interment in Lavender Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM Friday until service time at the funeral home.
