Larry D. McDonald

Larry D. McDonald, 76, of Herod, IL. died 8:58 PM Monday July 30, 2018 at Hardin County Hospital in Rosiclare, IL.

Larry was born December 5, 1941 in Rosiclare, IL. to Olan and Millie McDonald.

Through the years Larry worked for the ambulance service, Rosiclare Fire Department, Shawnee Telephone Company and Pope County Care Center from where he retired.

Larry was an active member of Honeycomb Church of God where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. Larry loved attending church and

loved to laugh and enjoy life.

Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Thelma McDonald of Herod, IL.; brother, Terry (Carolyn) McDonald of Clermont, FL.; sisters, Teresa (Earl Ralph) Partian of Boonville, IN. and

LaDonna (Roger) Ralph of Greenwood, IN.; children, Gary (Janet) McDonald of Brookport, IL., Debbie McDonald Barr of Metropolis, IL., Kevin (Connie) McDonald of Metropolis, IL.,

Jason (Kristin) McDonald of Paducah, KY., Robert (Frances) Carter of Shawneetown, IL., Randy (Paula) Carter of Herod, IL., Glen Carter of Herod, IL., Kim (Danny) Miles of

Herod, IL., Pam (David) Holbrook of Herod, IL.; 25 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Daris McDonald.

Larry will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Our memory and love for him will live in our hearts forever.

Services are scheduled for 1 PM Friday August 3, 2018 at Hardin County Funeral Service (Cox Chapel) in Rosiclare, IL. with interment in Lavender Cemetery. The family will

receive visitors from 10 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home.
