Katie L. Atwell

Katie L. Atwell, 72, of Marion, KY. died Thursday December 21, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah. She was employed at Potter and Brumfield in Marion, KY. from 1969-2001.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Atwell of Marion, KY.; daughter, Kelly Croft of Marion, KY.; sons, Ross and Steve Atwell both of Marion, KY.; brothers, John Layne of Ledbetter, KY. and Russell Layne of Smithland, KY.; sisters, Elizabeth Travelstead of Ledbetter, KY., Mary Byrer of Reed, KY.; June Swinford of Ledbetter, KY. and Beverly Myrick of Ledbetter, KY.; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Birdie Layne.

Services are scheduled for 1 PM Satuday December 23, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY. with private graveside services at a later date. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.
