Joseph L. Clanton, 86, of Elizabethtown, IL died June 25, 2020 at Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation in Carrier Mills, IL. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, member of Independent Baptist Church and the the Hardin County American Legion.
Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Clanton; brothers, Danny Clanton of Edwardsville, IL and David (Brenda) Clanton of Elizabethtown, IL and sister, Martha (Bill) Williams of Elizabethtown, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Gladys Clanton; son, Joseph "Bubby" Clanton; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday June 27, 2020 at Rock Creek Church in Cave-In-Rock, IL with interment in Rutherford Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from noon until service time at the church.
Military Rites will be given at the cemetery on Saturday.
