John Gordon Mathews, Sr., 64, of Elizabethtown, IL died Sunday at his home in Elizabethtown, IL. He was a member of Honeycomb Church.
Surviving is his wife, Sue Mathews of Elizabethtown, IL; daughters, Lacy Mathews of Elizabethtown, IL and Josie Price of Harrisburg, IL; sons, Robert Mathews of Marion, KY and Nicholas Mathews of Harrisburg, IL; brothers, Roy Mathews of Elizabethtown, IL and George Mathews of Marion, IL; sisters, Charlene Price of Colp, IL, Mae Cunningham of Rosiclare, IL and Lisa Davis of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Beulah Mathews; son, John G. Mathews, Jr.; 1 brother and 3 sisters.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Thursday May 21, 2015 at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare, IL with interment in Adams Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
