Joe Henry Howerton

Joe Henry Howerton, 91, of Marion, Kentucky, died Sunday October 19, 2008 at Livingston County Hospital.
He was a farmer and carpenter and member of Dunn Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Howerton was also an Army Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his son, Wayne Howerton of Marion, KY.; daughter, Melinda Brasher of Marion, KY, 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Mr. Howerton is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Perry Fritts Howerton; parents, James Edgar and Alice Mae Strange Howerton; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Wednesday October 22, 2008 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Military Rites will be given at the cemetery on Wednesday.
