Jimmy Roberts

Jimmy Roberts, 73, of Marion, KY passed away January 3, 2025 at University of Louisville Hospital. He was a loving husband, father and Papaw, a retired correctional officer, United States Navy Veteran and had a heart for music and loved to share it with everyone.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Roberts of Marion, KY; children, Jimmy Joe (Chantell) Roberts of Morganfield, KY, Derek “Mitch” Roberts of Marion, KY and Angel (Michael) Travis of Suwanee, KY; grandchildren, Morgan, Taylor, Ridge, Eli, Walker, Brilee, Haley, Kyle and James; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Robert A. "Rocky" Roberts and sister, Bonnie Lou Rushing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richie Roberts; stepmother, Meddie Roberts; brothers, Ricky Ray Roberts, Stevie Roberts and James Richie Roberts and sister, Donna Sue Rushing.

Services are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday January 12, 2025 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Freedom Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 11 AM until noon Sunday with public visitation from noon until service time.
