On February 19, 2016, Jim Tadlock, age 73, of Anna Illinois, formerly of Cave-In-Rock, left this life to meet his Lord and Savior. He was the third child and only son, born to the union of Ben “Terp” and Thelma “Jennings” Tadlock. Jim was a life-long and devout member of The Church of Christ. He attended Cave In Rock grade and high schools before moving to Manteno, IL. He served 2 years in the Army before returning to Manteno, and taking employment with the State Mental Hospital. Later, he transferred to and retired from the Choate Mental Facility in Anna, IL. He resided 72 years with his mother, Thelma, until her passing last year at the age of 97. They were constant companions and now reunited in Heaven.
He is survived by 2 Nephews: James and Randi Holbrook, Everett and LeAnn Davis; 3 Nieces: Sandy and Tom Barnerd, Gayle and Randy Belford, Tammy and Coy Taber; Aunt: Mildred Mayfield; Many cousins, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews survive as well.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: Ben and Thelma Tadlock; Sisters: Velda Holbrook and Wanda “Tuttie” Davis; Niece: Debbie Holbrook; Great Nephew: Heath Barnerd; and all of his uncles and aunts.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 A.M. till funeral time on the day of the service. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
