J.D. Orr, 90, of Marion, KY died Wednesday at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. He was a member of Marion Baptist Church, WWII Army Veteran, former Crittenden County Sherriff and Crittenden County Judge Executive.
Surviving is his daughter, Cheryl Singleton of Marion, KY; grandsons, Jason and Jarrod Singleton both of Marion, KY; great grandchildren, Cutter and Cash Singleton both of Marion, KY.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Orr; parents, Finney and Cordia Orr; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Services are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Blackford War Memorial, c/o Gilbert Funeral Home, 117 W. Bellville St., Marion, KY 42064.
Military rites will be given at the cemetery on Saturday.
