James H. Farmer, Jr., 90, of Marion, KY died Monday at his home. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Bigham Masonic Lodge No. 256, lifetime member of th VFW, Army Veteran of WWII, retired coal miner of Peabody Camp 1 and member of the UMWA.
Surviving is his wife, Rosemary Farmer of Marion, KY; children, Dennis, Donnie and Joey Farmer all of Marion, KY, Patty Hopgood of Morganfield, KY and Eddie Mosley of Evansville, IN; step children, Jimmy Lindsey of Fulton, KY, Donna Parker of Marion, KY, Rena Coerver of Sturgis, KY, Kay McWorthy of Sturgis, KY, Patty Bowling of Greenville, KY; brother, William O. Farmer of Marion, KY; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and seveal step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Lois Farmer; 3 sisters and 1 brother; parents, James H. and Florence Farmer, Sr.
Services are scheduled for 11 AM Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be held at 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and Military Rites will be given at the cemetery on Thursday.
