James Gwendell Oxford, 86, formerly of Cave In Rock, IL. passed away on May 29, 2014 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky. He was born on February 12, 1928 to Thaniel Oxford and Slona Milligan Oxford.
He is survived by a Niece: Kathy and John Sheridan; Nephew: Larry and Susan Oxford; Nephew: Jerry and Winnie Oxford; Nephew: Gerald McDowell.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: Thaniel and Slona Oxford; Brother: John Galen Oxford; Aunt: Beulah Sturgill; Uncle: Prentice and Dorothy Oxford; Grand Parents: Sam and Ora Milligan; Grand Parents: Lawrence and Minnie Oxford; Cousin: Pat and Gerald McDowell.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. As per his wishes, Mr. Oxford had been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
