James Edward Newcom, 77, of Marion, KY died March 18, 2023 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his children, Tanya Newcom of Marion, KY and Missy (Jeff) Farrand of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Katie Houghland, Hilary Farrand, Jimmy Crider and Harley Mullen and great grandchildren, Abel, Axton and Becca Houghland and Nova Lee and Dallas Crider.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Newcom; parents, Austin and Lucille Newcom and brother, Robert Newcom.
Services are schedueld for 1 PM Thursday March 23, 2023 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Dycusburg Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Wednesday and from 9 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home.\
Military Rites will be held at the cemetery on Thursday.
