Herschel Dean Dutton was born on May 27, 1942 to Neulan and Kathryn Dutton. He was known as a talented person who loved God , his family and friends. He was a kind, dependable, personable and easy-going man. Herschel knew how to fix about anything. If it was broke he could figure out a way to repair it.
It is still hard to comprehend that we won't see his kind, smiling face again on this side of eternity. Life is so fragile. Time with those we love is so precious.
He fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. He is free at last. Free from the terrible cancer that invaded his body.
Herschel would likely be like the speaker in Isaiah 6:8.Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying "Whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then I said "Here am I, send me."
He leaves to mourn his wife of 51 years, Christine of Cave-in-Rock, IL; sons, Kevin (Rhonda) Dutton of Soddy Daisy, TN and Paul (Angel) Dutton of Paducah, KY; three beautiful granddaughters, Laura (Tommy) , Kailey and Julie; his mother, Kathryn; brother, Dee Roy; sisters, Mary Dutton and Linda Parkinson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Neulan Dutton; sister, Norma Hufsey and brothers, Ewell and Marvin Dutton.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Tuesday November 11, 2014 at the Hardin County Church of Christ with interment in Hastie Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until service time at the church. Hardin County Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
