Harold Perry Glore, 80, of Marion, KY died Wednesday at his home. He attended Barnett Chapel Church and was a Korean War Veteran of the Army, serving from May 1953 to June 1955. He worked in spar and gold mines in Colorado and for Island Creek Coal Company.
Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Rose Ann Glore; son, Perry Jewell (Anna Nadine) Glore of Punta Gorda, FL; daughters, Sherri Ann (Johnny Don) Watson and Vickie Dee Glore and her fiancé, Ricky Belt both of Marion, KY; grandchildren, Kelly Christensen, Daniel Glore, Christopher Watson, Crystal Westmoland and Brandy Hunter; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Glore, D.L. Glore and Charles Eugene Glore; sisters, Susie Barnes and Sandra Hollomon; several nieces, nephews and cousins and one special cousin that grew up like a sister, Lucille Dickerson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bertha Lee Glore; grandparents; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Friday January 31, 2014 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Whites Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Military rites will be held at the cemetery on Friday.
