Guy Smith, 71, of Herod, Illinois died Sunday at his home in Herod. He was a member of the Hardin County, Illinois American Legion.
Surviving are his children, Darlene Gabor and Roger Smith of Batavia, IL; brothers, Paul Smith of McCleansboro, IL and Dave Smith of Harrisburg, IL; sisters, Lurene Vinyard of Alton, IL and Virginia Blanke of Louisville, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron, Adrianna and Jordan Gabor of Batavia, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ethel Rohr Smith and 2 brothers.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Friday at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare, IL with burial in Oddfellas Cemetery in Golconda, IL. Friends may call from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. Military rites will be given at the cemetery.
