Gerald Hayes "Butch" Phillips, 62, of Marion, KY died Thursday at his home. He was a founding member of the Tolu Fire Department.
Surviving is his former wife, Mary Phillips of Marion, KY; sons, Christopher and Timmy Phillips both of Marion, KY and daughter, Tammy Tinsley of Marion, KY; brothers, Joe Phillips of White Pine, TN, Terry Phillips of Dandridge, TN, Charles Phillips of Gulf Port, Mississippi, Robert Phillips of Talbott, TN, Carl Phillips of Jefferson City, TN, Danny Phillips, Sr. of Hot Springs, N.C. and Daryl Phillips of Dandridge, TN; sister, Carolyn Burris of Jefferson City, TN; 6 grandchildren and special friend, Pam Brindley of Marion, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hayes Junior and Elsie Marie Phillips.
Services are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday May 3, 2014 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Whites Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
