Mr. George Daniel Smith

George Daniel Smith, 78, of Cave In Rock, IL., passed away on Friday March 25, 2016 in Harligion, Texas. He was born on January 27, 1938 in Cuba City, Wisconsin to Gerald Smith and Cleone (Graham) Smith. He was a retired supervisor for Ozark Mahoning, 35 year Navy Veteran, a member of the VFW and Goldwingers Motorcycle Chapter.
He is survived by a Son: Danny and Joanna Smith; Son: George Smith; Son: Paul Joseph Smith; Sister: Sally Smith Malven; Grandchildren: Daniel Smith, Toby Smith, Chastity Smith, Callie Smith, Shaleigh Smith, Dominic Smith, and Maya Smith.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: Gerald and Cleone Smith; Wife: Beverly (Baker) Smith; Grandson: Kyle Smith.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be on Tuesday April 5, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. American Legion Post 571 will be conducting Military Rites.
