Effie Shaffer

Effie D. Shaffer, 100, of Marion, KY died Tuesday at Crittenden County Health and Rehab. She was a member of Marion General Baptist Church and Bethlehem White Shrine No. 20.

Surviving is her daughter, Linda (Virgil) Cook of Marion, KY; grandsons, Chris (Tracy) Cook of Marion, KY and Charles (Natasha) Cook of Kuttawa, KY; 2 great grandchildren, Caroline and Ashleigh Cook both of Kuttawa, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Shaffer; parents, Dallas and Eula Dixon and 2 sisters.

Services are scheduled for 11 AM Friday July 18, 2014 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
