Edmona Rose Suits, (Austin) Seiner
June 24, 1920-June 9, 2009
She was a wonderful Daughter to John and Gradie Francis (Pennell) Suits and a loving Sister to Orlando Suits, Weldon Suits, Joe Suits and Dale Suits who are now departed. She leaves to mourn her passing, the twin brother and sister, Annual Suits and Amy (Suits) Gosser.
She was a loving Mother who often told her children how special they were and how much she loved them. These children who were born to her marriage to Luther Daniel Austin are Gradie Sue Austin (Billy Paul) Ewell , Luther Weldon (LaVern Lane) Austin, Mary Lou Austin (Paul) McCrite and Rosalie Austin (Dennis Ford) Stinnett.
During her later marriage to Laurel Kelly Seiner, she was a caring Mother to his son Danny Seiner.
Her philosophy of life, which she passed on to her children, was to be loving and kind with honesty and integrity to all people.
Her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and great Great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved all her babies and they loved her so much in return. One of her greatest joys was to hold the tiny babies in her arms and surround them with her love and Grandmotherly hugs and kisses.
Since there were 10 children in her Father's family and 12 children in her Mother's family, she was related to many residents of Hardin County and several surrounding states. She called them all "my people" and had many close friends whom she cherished.
One of her passions was growning a vegetable garden and sharing the bountiful harvest with relatives, friends and neighbors. Flowers were also a joy for her to enhance the beauty of her home.
Her home was dear to her. To have a friend drop by for a piece of pie or cake and a cup of coffee was the ultimate delight. Many are the couples for which she gave wedding showers and baby showers in her younger years.
During her stay here on Earth, she joined the Rebeccas and was a member of the Home Makers Extension Club in Hardin County. She was a devout Christian who was a long time member of Honey Comb Church.
She lived the fullest through the many trials of life and always encouraged others to do the same. One of her best quotations was "Don't tell me it can't be done. It can be done. Now tell me how you are going to do it"
Her father was a song leader and taught the music with shaped notes. Her melodious voice was sweet and soft when she sang a solo, many time without music to accompany her.
Although her voice is still now, we know she is singing a new song in heaven. The angels will probably be silent to listen to her sweet voice sing praises to her Lord.
She left us and went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2009. So, "Goodbye Momma. We'll miss you down here, but someday we'll see you again in heaven."
Services are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday at Honey Comb Church with interment in Central Cemetery. The family will receive visitors frome 6-9 PM Friday at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois.
