Edith Irene "Granny" Lane, 97, of Elizabethtown, IL died Saturday at her home in Elizabethtown. She was a member of Honeycomb Church.
Surviving are her children, Wanda McNear of Norris City, IL, J.C. Lane of Elizabethtown, IL, Jim (Brenda) Lane of Elizabethtown, IL, Donnie Lane of Elizabethtown, IL, Anna Mae Carter of Elizabethtown, IL, Sally (Ralph) Barnes of Elizabethtown, IL, Opal (David) Marie Fields of Junction, IL, Judy Kay Beal of Harrisburg, IL and Susie (Steve) Moore of Rosiclare, IL; 29 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Lane; son, Billy Lane; daughter, Wilma Dean McBride; parents, Andrew Jackson and Anna Burklow; 2 sisters and 1 brother and 4 grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Tuesday at Honeycomb Church with interment in Lane-Winters Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-9 Monday at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois and from 11 AM until service time at the church on Tuesday.
