Dorraine Edna Biers, 81, passed away peacefully November 18, 2021 at Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare, IL. She was born the second child of Harold and Cora (Heldt) Schrage of Beecher, Illinois, on December 1, 1939. She was born and raised in Beecher, Illinois and married Donald Dene Biers on November 17, 1959.
Dorraine was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, and sisters, Colette Svboda and Sharon McGovern and son-in-law James B. Kopman of Elizabethtown, Illinois, formerly of Beecher.

Dorraine was a homemaker and did childcare for many of the children in Beecher. When she relocated to Elizabethtown in 2001 after the death of her husband, many friends from Beecher said they would miss her as they always knew their children were in good hands with mom caring for them.
She enjoyed making all kinds of Christmas candy and cookies, the best Swedish Meatballs, Fried Chicken, and Chicken N Dumplings.
She was a member of and raised in St. John Eagle Lake Church of Beecher. Her mother Cora played the piano for the children’s church and Dorraine was a Sunday School Teacher.
She loved being surrounded by her family and friends and enjoyed living in the country. She would call it her “Little piece of Heaven”. One of her favorite things to do was to watch the hummingbirds outside her window.
