Ms. Dorothy Rae Sneed

Dorothy Rae Sneed was born on October 1, 1926 and passed away Monday, July 22. She married Paul Edgar Sneed on January 22, 1945. To this union, three daughters were born who survive her: Phyllis (Stanley) Slutzky, Atlanta, GA, Paula (Dennis) Belford, Gallatin, TN, and Dotty Cubley, Rosiclare. She is also survived by two sisters: Virginia Ferrell, Rosiclare, IL, Betty (Bob) Cox, Paducah, KY and a brother Bill (Sue) McMaster, Elizabethtown, IL, four grandchildren: Wendy Lynn Sanders, Murphysboro, IL, Jennifer Lee Austin, Gallatin, TN, Amy Marie Covington (Steve), Hendersonville, TN, and Christopher Joseph Cubley, Newburgh, IN, 2 great granddaughters and 4 great grandsons. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and her parents, William Cornell McMaster and Anna Olive McMaster Williamson. Dorothy worked many years at the Hardin County General Hospital where she served in different capacities. She was an active member of the Rosiclare First Baptist where she was well known for her singing and always willing to help where needed.
Family visitation will be Friday, July 26, 9:00 – 10:00, visitation for the public will be at 10:00 – 12:00, with funeral services at 12:00. Burial will be in the Fluorine Cemetery.
