Mr. Dennis L. Shaffer

Dennis L. Shaffer, 67, of Rosiclare, IL. Passed away on Wednesday May 8, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Rosiclare, IL. On April 16, 1946 to James L. Shaffer and Mable Lavern ( Joiner ) Shaffer. He was a carpenter and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife: Sherry Shaffer; Dau: Tina and Dave Williams; Son: Todd and Gina Shaffer; Granddau: Nichole Miles; Granddau: Alyse Williams; Grandson: Jamison Shaffer; Grandson: Bryon Shaffer; One Cousin: Mike and Darlene Donithan
He was preceded by his parents: James and Mable Shaffer; Step Father: A. D. Paris; Son in Law: David Miles; Mother in Law: Geneva Dixon; and Brother in Law: Rick Schwanke.

Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be on Friday May 10, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday May 11, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Cox Funeral Home. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Elizabethtown, IL. Rev. Butch Goins will officiate the services. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion and the National Guard Honors team.
