Deneen Partain, 98 of Teutopolis, departed this life on November 16, 2022 with his family by his side.
He was born on July 25, 1924 in Cave-In-Rock, the son of Tom and Bessie (Joiner) Partain. On December 29, 1943, he was joined in marriage with Abboline Rushing and they celebrated 78 wonderful years before her passing on March 9, 2022. To this union were born two sons, Joey Deneen (Jewell) Partain of Knoxville, TN, and Thomas A. "Tony" (Paula) Partain of Decatur.
Deneen worked in construction as an electrical engineer on coal-fired and nuclear power plants and industrial projects. He was a 75-year member of the I.B.E.W. He served in the United States Navy during WWII.
Deneen leaves to mourn his sons and daughters-in-law; grandson, Michael Deneen (Debra) Partain of Lenoir City, TN; great-grandson, Tristan Partain; sister, Margie Stilley of Murphysboro and her family; many nieces and nephews; special family members, Sharon and Keith Hollander of Evansville, IN and special friends, Robert and Ruth Drees of Teutopolis and their family.
Deneen was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Abboline; stepmother, Mabel (Austin) Partain; and half-sister, Nora Janet Trowbridge.
Graveside services will be held at Fluorine Cemetery in Rosiclare on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements are in the care of Bauer Funeral Home in Teutopolis and Hardin County Funeral Service in Rosiclare, Il.
