Delcie Lucille Hurford, 77, of Chicago, IL formerly of Cave-In-Rock, IL died Saturday at Forest Villa Nursing and Rehab in Chicago, IL. She graduated from Cave-In-Rock High School in 1952. On August 14, 1954 she married Charles Hurford and to this union one daughter, Janet Rose, was born. Delcie worked as an office worker in Prudential Building, Montgomery Wards, Sprague Iron Works and A&B Cleaning Service.
Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Charles Hurford of Chicago, IL; daughter, Janet Rose Nystrom of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Amber Rose (Joseph) Parylak and Charles (Chris Ramos) Nystrom both of Chicago, IL; great grandchildren, Maise and Vanessa Parylak and Charles and Elie Nystrom all of Chicago, IL and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lola and Edward Newman; brother, Harvey (Edith and Ann) Joyce; sisters, Icelee Joyce, Catherine (Wayne) Davis, Helen (Benjamin) Edwards and Joy (James) Morris.
Services are scheduled for 11 AM Wednesday at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-In-Rock, IL. The family will receive visitors from 9 AM until service time Wednesday. Burial will be in Empire Cemetery.
