Rev. David Eugene Winders

Rev. David Eugene Winders, 81, of Marion, KY died Monday at Crittenden County Hospital. He was a member of Unity General Baptist Church, was called to preach on June 28, 1950, liberated to preach in 1951 at Barnett's Chapel Church and Ordained Into the Ohio Association in 1953. He was a minister of 15 different chuches in Illinois and Kentucky, sometimes serving the same church as many as 2 or 3 different times.
Surviving is his wife, Dottie June Winders of Marion, KY; sons, Rev. Nicky Martin (Annalea) Winders of Marion, KY and Rev. Barry Eugene (Carmen) Winders of Lamar, MO; daughter, Candy Lou (Douglas) Patton of Elizabethtown, IL; brother, Rev. Donnie (Mary Ann) Winders of Marion, KY; grandchildren, Bryce Martin Winders and Blair Evan Winders both of Marion, KY, Justin Everett Patton of Murfreesboro, TN, Melissa June Page of Nashville, TN and Libby Anna McCutcheon of Jackson,MO; great grandchildren, Gavin Barrett Melton of Jackson, MO, Braxton Evan Winders of Marion, KY, Keelan Eric Melton of Jackson, MO, Presley June Page of Nashville, TN, Jacob Everett Patton of Murfeesboro, TN and Georgia Grace Page of Nasville, TN.
He was preceeded by his parents, William Jackson and Lenora Maude Winders; 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Services are schedule for 11 AM Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Whites Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
