Darwyn Daymon

Darwyn Allen Daymon was born September 18,1947 in the Cave-in-Rock,IL area. His parents were John Allen Daymon and Nola Jane McPhearson Daymon. He was raised in a home full of love with seven siblings.
Darwyn attended Cave-in-Rock high school, where he met his future wife June Lampert. The couple were married June 18, 1965. To this union five children were born. Darryl, Darlene, Denise, Justin and Desirae.
During his lifetime, Darwyn worked many jobs. He was a coal miner, electrician and correctional officer but farming and "his" kids were always his main love.
Darwyn passed away at his home in the early hours of December 10,2024.
He is survived by three children, Shane and Darlene Winters Cave-in-Rock, Jeff and Denise Jones Equality, Mark and Desirae Smock Cave-in-Rock,IL. Four siblings Anna Jaspring, Claudia Kramer, Ricky Daymon and Brenda Clanton. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by parents Allen and Nola, a brother Glenual, sisters Alene Lamb and Virchel Moore, his wife June and sons Darryl and Justin and a grandson Damien Forrester.
He will be truly missed by all of his family and friends. He really was something, always full of sarcasm and jokes, straightforward and honest.
There will be a small graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Beaver Hill Cemetery, in Cave In Rock, IL.
