Claud Virgil Tanner, 76, of Herod, IL. died Tuesday January 2, 2018 at his home in Herod. He served in the U.S. Army as an MP.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Marie Tanner of Herod, IL.; son, Matthew Allen Tanner of Evansville, IN.; brother, George Richard Tanner of Herod, IL.; sisters, Carlene Rose Smith of Virginia, Margie Ruth Carter of Herod, IL. and Mary Jane Drotts of LaGrange, KY.; grandchildren, Ava Lynn Marie Tanner and Taylee Goldenberry both of Evansville, IN. and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Aaron Tanner and parents, George Abner and Rose Catherine Tanner.
Private memorial services will be held a later date.
