Charlotte “Char” Stallion Gillott, 75, of Leesburg, FL passed away on May 22, 2024, at her home in Plantation Resort, Leesburg, FL. She was born on July 30, 1948, in Marion, KY to Dallas “Dick” Stallion and Naomi Stallion. Charlotte is survived by her former husband of ten years, Richard Gillott; sister, Branda K. Stallion; brother, William “Bill” Grant (Dianne) Stallion; two nieces, Kristal and Sabrina; four great nieces and one great nephew.

Charlotte dedicated her career to education, serving as an Elementary teacher and Reading Specialist. She obtained her undergraduate and Master’s degree from Murray State University. Charlotte's passion for teaching touched the lives of many students throughout her 30+ year career.

Outside of work, Charlotte found joy in reading and crafts. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Leesburg, FL, where she found solace and community. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Paws Rescue and Therapy c/o Carol Rock, 1101 Hazelnut Drive, Leesburg,  FL 34748, in Honor of Charlotte's love for dogs.

Services are scheduled for 1 PM Tuesday June 4, 2024 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleview Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home. Bro. David Leneave will be officiating.

Charlotte will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all those who knew her.
